Pastor’s Note.

Maundy Thursday, 09th April

Dear Leaders and Members of Trinity Methodist Church PJ,

Warmest greetings in the Precious Name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Today is Maundy Thursday, also known as Holy Thursday. On this day, we commemorate the events leading up to Jesus’ death on the cross. We remember the events surrounding His last supper with His disciples and also His agony in the Garden of Gethsamane.

This year, for many of us, it will be our first time having the Holy Week services and Easter Sunday service at our respective homes due to the “Movement Control Order”.

For today’s Maundy Thursday service, we will be having the “Love Feast” instead of the Holy Communion. This is encouraged by the TRAC President, Rev Dr Jeyakumar.

Please take note of the following:

1. The explanation of the Love Feast is stated in the Order of Service (last page).

2. Please prepare bread (it can be a slice of bread or a bun or even biscuits).

3. Please prepare cups of plain water.

I pray and hope you will have a meaningful worship service.

Below are the links for you and your family to enter to enjoy the worship experience.

Jesus said, “A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.” – John 13:34-35 (NIV)

In Christ’s love,
Rev Paul S Christie
