About the Groups
“And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.” – Hebrews 10:24-25 (ESV)
The Church’s Small Groups Ministry forms one of the three main prongs of the church’s vision of a Spirit-led, Relational, Healthy Church.
It is through Small Groups that we can reach the most people in the most meaningful way as well as to enable us to provide all the essential elements for caring, spiritual growth and witnessing. Through the Small Groups Ministry we make disciples, identify leaders and give people the relationship and accountability they need.
Through the Small Groups Ministry we can have a church that accomplishes Christ’s Great Commandment (Matthew 22:37-40) and Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20).
Small Groups’ Objectives
- Help lay the foundation for spiritual formation and assimilation, for evangelism and leadership development which are essential functions that God has called for in the church.
- Give emphasis on covenantal relationship, where all members are accountable for and to each other and where members develop a strong bond.
- enable members to experience and enjoy God’s love by enfolding all church members who do not belong to any organisation or Home Fellowship group.
