The Church Redevelopment Plan
TMC Redevelopment – CRPC Update on Project Status as of 20 February 2016
The Building Contract was awarded to Luxbee Enterprise with commencement on 15 June 2015 and completion on 15 December 2016 (18 months contract completion period).
The progress of work as of 20 February 2016 is as follows:
- Earthwork platform was completed on 28 August 2015;
- Piling work comprising 228 pile points and three (3) load tests were completed on 28 December 2015;
- Pilecaps were 50% completed;
- Built water detention tanks at Northern boundary facing Federal Highway and at Eastern boundary facing existing Church building;
- Erected retaining wall at the Western boundary facing EPF as shown in photo below:
- Overall progress of work achieved is 6% as against targeted progress of 20% – a delay of about 2½ months;
- Factors causing the delay include rain, challenging site conditions and site constraints;
- Contractor assured us they will catch up by deploying more workers during the remaining contract period of about 10 months;
- To ensure our piling is also in accordance with best standards we also undertook three (3) load tests on some piles. And some of us in the CRPC took turns to witness the load test to ensure there were no irregularities, as shown in photos below:
- Our Contractor, Luxbee Enterprise, our C&S consultant, Messrs HP Lee and us have in concert been working to ensure the foundation upon which our Worship Centre is built will be completed just like a life built on rock, which is the word of God.
- I covet your prayer for the following:
(a) God’s guidance and wisdom as the redevelopment and construction team work together to build His house,
(b) Smooth progress of work, and
(c) God’s protection upon all workers.
TO GOD BE THE GLORY!

Chairman, CRPC
Project Status – 24 June 2012
We praise the Lord! The Petaling Jaya City Council has agreed to waive the requirement for us to comply with the Green Building Index requirement. This will reduce our cost a little.
Meanwhile, work is still targeted to commence by mid-October, 2012. We invite all those who are interested to register with us as contractors, suppliers and service providers for the Project to collect and submit their registration forms at the Hospitality Desk or the Church Office.
We thank the youths who have carved out time to meet up with the Church Redevelopment Project Committee and the leaders of the Church to share their views and provide valuable feedback. We also thank all those who have graciously come forward to provide us with valuable feedback and ideas.
Please do continue to keep our Church Redevelopment Project in prayer.
