The Christian Education Committee is entrusted with the functions and duties, inter-alia, to determine the policies for the Sunday School as a whole and in parts, and to give general direction to all the Christian education work of the local church, provided that the education programme of the local church shall be open to all persons. It shall be responsible for counselling with officers and teachers regarding the upgrading of the curriculum materials used by the Sunday School classes and groups and shall see that all audio-visual materials used in the Sunday School are in harmony with the standards of the Annual Conference Board of Christian Education.
The Christian Education Committee is also responsible for the proper organising and running of the Methodist Primary School Chapel services and has oversight of the local church library.
